The Qur'an is the speech of Allah. From Him it came, without modality, as speech. He revealed it upon His Messenger ﷺ. The believers affirm this in truth and are certain that it is, in reality, the speech of Allah — not created, like the speech of created beings.
شرح علمي
Ibn Abi al-‘Izz: 'This is the position of the Salaf — Allah's speech is an attribute of His essence, uncreated. Whoever says otherwise opposes the unanimity of Ahl us-Sunnah.'
