Whatever Allah has described Himself with, or His Messenger ﷺ has described Him with, we accept and affirm — passing the texts as they came, without engaging in the kind of speculative interpretation (ta'wīl) that the people of innovation engaged in. The Salaf used to say: 'Pass them on as they came, without asking how.' (Imām Mālik, Sufyān ath-Thawrī, al-Awzā‘ī, Ahmad).
