الأصل الأول: معرفة العبد ربه

The First Principle — Knowing Your Lord

النص العربي

إذا قيل لك: من ربك؟ فقل: ربي الله الذي رباني وربى جميع العالمين بنعمه...

الترجمة الإنجليزية

If you are asked: 'Who is your Lord?' — say: 'My Lord is Allah, who has nurtured me and all of creation through His favours. He is the One I worship; I have no other deity besides Him.' The evidence is the saying of Allah ﷻ: 'All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.' (Al-Fatihah 1:2). Everything besides Allah is a created world (‘ālam), and I am one of its members.

شرح علمي

Shaykh Ibn Baz: this principle establishes the central truth — Allah alone deserves worship because He alone is the Creator, Provider, and Sustainer.
