حادي الأرواح

Hadi al-Arwah ila Bilad al-Afrah, intro & ch. 1-3

Ibn al-Qayyim wrote that belief in the Akhirah is one of the six pillars of iman. It comprises: the trial of the grave, the resurrection, the gathering, the presentation of deeds, the scales, the Sirat over Hellfire, the Hawd of the Prophet ﷺ, the intercession, and the eternal abodes of Jannah and Jahannam. He stressed that without firm belief in the Akhirah a person cannot be sincere in worship, for it is the certainty of meeting Allah that motivates the heart.

Key Takeaway

The Akhirah includes grave, resurrection, judgment, scales, Sirat, and the eternal abodes — belief in it is a pillar of iman.
