He is One — without partner
Allah is the proper name of God in Arabic. He has no son, no daughter, no partner, no equal. 'There is nothing like unto Him.' (42:11)
He is the Creator and Sustainer
Everything you see — the sky, your body, every breath — is from Him. He has no need of you; you have absolute need of Him.
He is Most Merciful
Every chapter of the Qur'an (except one) opens with: 'In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.' His mercy precedes His anger.
Today's Action
Recite Surah al-Ikhlas (Sūrah 112) — only four short verses summarising who Allah is. Try to memorise it.
