Following him is loving Allah
'Say: If you love Allah, then follow me — Allah will love you.' (3:31) Loving Allah is proven by following the Prophet ﷺ in his teachings, not by inventing one's own.
Even small Sunnah acts have great reward
Eating with the right hand, saying Bismillāh before meals, sleeping on the right side, smiling at others — every small thing reflects love for him.
