    1

    Adam

    آدم

    The first human and first prophet, created by Allah's own Hands and taught the names of all things.

    Idris

    إدريس

    Raised to a high station by Allah, known for his patience and truthfulness.

    The Great Flood
    3

    Nuh

    نوح

    Called his people for 950 years. Built the Ark by Allah's command and was saved from the Great Flood.

    Sent to the powerful nation of ʿĀd, who were destroyed by a furious wind for their arrogance.

    Salih

    صالح

    Sent to Thamūd with the miraculous she-camel as a sign. They hamstrung it and were seized by a blast.

    Ibrahim

    إبراهيم

    The Khalīl (intimate friend) of Allah. Smashed the idols, survived the fire, and built the Ka'bah with Isma'il.

    Lut

    لوط

    Nephew of Ibrahim, sent to the people of Sodom. Their cities were overturned for their wickedness.

    Isma'il

    إسماعيل

    The sacrificed son, left in the barren valley of Makkah. Forefather of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

    Ishaq

    إسحاق

    Son of Ibrahim born to Sarah in old age, a gift from Allah and forefather of the Israelite prophets.

    Ya'qub

    يعقوب

    Also known as Isra'il. His patience through the loss of Yusuf is one of the Quran's most moving accounts.

    Yusuf

    يوسف

    His story is called 'the best of stories' (Ahsan al-Qasas). From the well to the throne of Egypt.

    Sent to Madyan. Called them to honest trade and worship of Allah alone. Known as 'the orator of the prophets'.

    أيوب

    The epitome of patience (sabr). Lost his health, wealth, and family yet never turned away from Allah.

    Dhul-Kifl

    ذو الكفل

    Mentioned twice in the Quran among the patient and righteous. Fulfilled his covenant with Allah.

    Musa

    موسى

    The most frequently mentioned prophet in the Quran. Spoke directly with Allah and led Bani Isra'il out of Egypt.

    Harun

    هارون

    Brother and minister of Musa, granted prophethood alongside him. Known for his eloquence and gentleness.

    Given the Zabur (Psalms), the power to shape iron, and unmatched worship — he fasted every other day.

    Sulayman

    سليمان

    Son of Dawud. Given dominion over jinn, wind, and animals — a kingdom like no other, before or after.

    إلياس

    Called his people away from Baal worship back to the worship of Allah alone.

    Al-Yasa'

    اليسع

    Successor of Ilyas, praised in the Quran among the chosen and the good.

    Yunus

    يونس

    Swallowed by the whale, he called out from layers of darkness — and Allah answered his du'a.

    Final Prophets

    Zakariyya

    زكريا

    Guardian of Maryam. Made du'a in old age for an heir, and Allah granted him Yahya.

    Yahya

    يحيى

    Given wisdom as a child, tender-hearted and pure. The first to bear the name Yahya.

    24

    Isa

    عيسى

    Born miraculously to Maryam. Spoke in the cradle, healed the blind, and was raised to the heavens.
